Card crafting for Christmas

Hi there,

it is the perfect time to create Christmas cards!
Why? Well, it is cold outside, we had the first snow already...

If you like, you can craft with me.
So grab a cup of tea like I did. And let's get started!

What we need:

Creme Cardstock Cards, width is 7.5"
10" pearl/transparent Ribbon
2.5" red Ribbon for the Bow
5.5" slim red Ribbon
Scissor
Sewing Machine
Beige Thread

First of all make sure, that you bring the bobbin thread up. This is very important, otherwise you will have a mess at the inside of the card!

Picture 2
Start at the left side of the card, put the transparent ribbon underneath the presser foot. Make 2 or 3 stitches to secure the seam.
Picture 3
Sew a wonky line, every 3 or 5 stitches make a little fold in the ribbon. And / or change the direction a little bit. I raised the presser foot to have a better control. After approximately 3" put the slim red ribbon underneath the transparent ribbon. Continue with the wonky sewing.

At the end of the card secure the seam again with 2 or 3 stitches.

Then you should cut the excess thread and the transparent ribbon at the straight edges of the card.

The next step is to create a little bow. So grab the 2.5" red ribbon, fold the middle and tie it with the slim ribbon. Cut the slim ribbon to a length you like.

And we are all done! Roughly.

Now you can add whatever you like to finish your own Christmas card! *smile*

Here is, what I made so far:

I used a rubber stamp, embossing ink and embossing powder. And some red cardstock to get a little bit more color...

This is not my final finish, I will definitely change the shape of the "add on".
Now I have to do 32 more cards...

Thanks for crafting with me!
